As a long season 2025 for Wildwater racing comes to an end, preparations for the upcoming season have been in full swing for several months.
ICF Mini Coaching Seminars – January Series 2026
In January, we are launching a series of mini coaching seminars designed not only for Wildwater
canoeing coaches, but also for athletes, team leaders and enthusiasts from other canoeing disciplines.
Every Wednesday evening, you can look forward to short but highly focused expert sessions delivered by two specialists in their field
The seminars will take place online via Microsoft Teams, every Wednesday from 19:00 to 20:00 CET. Each speaker will offer a 20-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute discussion.
Among our presenters are, for example, multiple World Champion and coach Marie Němcová (CZE),
legendary coach and author of the Wildwater Manual Jamie Christie (GBR), and well-known athlete,
coach and event organizer Vladi Panato (ITA).
Participants who attend all four evenings will receive an official ICF certificate.

• 7 January 2026 – Combining WWC categories on the highest level
• 14 January 2026 – WWC physiotherapists
• 21 January 2026 – Organizing WWC races – challenges, practice
• 28 January 2026 – Raising athletes on white water

Finally, we can announce a fulfilled Wildwater Canoeing calendar with plenty of TOP-Events and a fully World Cup series which has just been approved by the ICF Board.

The WWC 2026 Top-Events are
21st until 24th of May: 2026 ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in Banja Luka, BIH
5th until 7th of June ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Cup in Dunaremente, HUN
12th until 14th of June ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Cup in Bratislava, SVK
25th until 28th of June ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Cup in Mezzana ITA
12th until 15th of August: 2026 Paddle Wildwater Junior and U23 European Championships in Grandtully, GBR

Shared WWC Calendar of Races & Training Camps – 2026
We are pleased to continue the shared online calendar of Wildwater Canoeing races and training camps for the 2026 season — a tool many of you have been using for the past two years. It includes international events as well as local races and training camps across Europe.

ITO’s for 2026 World Cup
As the World Cups were officially announced late, we are still looking for ITO’s to cover the World Cup Tour in 2026.

ITO WEBINAR / EXAMINATION 2026
The next ITO examination will take place during the 2026 World Championships in Banja Luka, Bosnia I Herzegovia and Grandtully, Great Britain, Please send your nominees with contact details until mid of April to the iCF headquarter.
If you are interested in an online webinar as a preparation of this examination the Wildwater committee is happy to organise a webinar.
