We hope you like the new look and functionality of this site, and that it meets all your needs now and going forward. We welcome feedback on this new site and features you would like to see. To help you get the most from the site this document will highlight some of the features and show the benefits of becomming a member:
Features:
Vary screen width and font size for easy reading
Check out the icons on the top right of the page, this allows you to resize for the screen resolution you have (normal or widescreen), and to make the font smaller or larger for ease of reading.
River Guides with video and imagesWe would welcome additional video footage for races, particularly the lower divisions. This is very helpful to parents when deciding if the course is suitable.
Google Maps race start and finish markers- you can see all of the races for any class (Div A, Div B, Youth and Wavehopper series) so you can see exactly where the races are, and where your nearest race is.
Race Attendance report- Do you want to know who is going to a Div A race? Check out this report to see who is intending to go. You need to be a member to register for the races (see member details)
Multimedia Wildwater Racing manual- All of the content of the manual, with additional video examples.
Integrated Wildwater Academy site- the Academy is an important part of wildwater racing structure, and has a great deal of crossover in coaching resources - so it made sense to pull the two together. The Acedemy section still has its own feel, with latest Youth and Wavehopper races and Academy news.
Press Gallery- this is a pretty cool (well we think so!) image gallery, whch will be used to showcase the sport. The original gallery is still available to members (you will need to log in) and we will periodically pull the best into this gallery.
Video Gallery- A new feature which allows members to upload youtube or Google video footage. We have footage of rivers, coaching resources, Academy videos nd river guides.
Discussion board- A new discussion board for the new site. All the features you like are there.
Contacts list- You can get in contact with the Coaches, Committee members or just look at who is a member on the site.
Why should I be a member?
As a member of this site you have access to additional facilities and features, for example:
1. Define your profile including achievements, races you are attending - this provides a great facility for press to access.
2. Load videos into our gallery
3. Comment on videos
4. Upload images to the gallery, view the member photo gallery
5. Use the discussion forum
6. Get access to restricted (for example team) documents.
