Rules
1. The Series will be open to all GB home nations (England, Scotland,
Wales, Northern Ireland), plus the Irish Republic, plus British Combined
Forces.
2. Each team may nominate one event within their national boundaries per
calendar year to be a Home International event. The nominated event must
be confirmed to the WWR Calendar Officer by the end of November in the
preceding year. In the spirit of WWR, the event should include grade 3
or higher water.
3. Should the nominated event be cancelled, that team may nominate a replacement
event, should there be a suitable one within the calendar year.
4. Points will be scored at each event as follows :
MK1 Senior first 2 per nation first 10 points, 10th 1 point
MK1 Vet 35-49 first 2 per nation first 10 points, 10th 1 point
MK1 Vet 50+ first 1 per nation first 5 points, 5th 1 point
MK1 U23 first 2 per nation first 10 points, 10th 1 point

5. N.B. paddlers must fall within the relevant age category e.g. a 17
year-old can only score U18 points; he/she cannot score U23 points even
if faster than all 18-22 year-olds. All boats must comply with the standard
WWR dimensions. In the kayak classes Wavehoppers are permitted and will
be given a 7% allowance when calculating points.
6. An individual may only compete for one team within a season. It will
be assumed that each person is competing for the nation of their home
address unless the series results compiler is notified differently before
that competitor's first race. Each paddler must satisfy the selection
criteria of the country for which they are paddling.
7. An individual may only score points in a single class at each event.
Where a paddler is competing in two classes at one event (e.g. C1, C2),
he must notify the series results compiler before the start of the event
in which class he is to be counted for points. Failure to do so will result
in the competitor not scoring points in any class at that event.
8. In order to count for points both paddlers in a C2 crew must be eligible
to compete for the same country. Mixed nationality crews will not score
points.
9. Each nation (not paddler) shall count the points from their best three
events towards the overall total.
